I (Robert) climbed the Dome of The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence; Ashleigh worked on her paper instead. The Duomo, as it is called, it the tallest thing in this town. It is about 500 steps to the top, along some narrow and steep paths through the inside of the Cathedral, but there are some awesome views at the top. This is the most popular tourist destination in Florence, which is why I'm just now getting around to it. If you want to go, go late in the day or else you'll have to wait in a very long line. Me and Jonathon, a friend from Auburn who visited from Milan for the day, went just as it was closing, and it was empty.
